Based on the Dansker Trilogy by Halfdan Pisket.

James has fled to Denmark from a dark past filled with trauma and violence in Turkey, hoping to start anew and build a better life. However, he struggles in vain to establish himself as a ‘guest worker’ in 1970s Denmark. Without language skills and education, he ends up on the fringes of society and is slowly pulled into a criminal underworld where one either gets trampled by others or tramples them.
