Submarine production ‘Undone’ debuts September 13 on Amazon Prime
Undone is a half-hour genre-bending animation series that explores the elastic nature of reality through its central character, Alma (Rosa Salazar), a 28-year-old living in San Antonio, Texas. After getting into a near fatal car accident, she discovers she has a new relationship with time and uses her ability to uncover the truth about the death of her father (Bob Odenkirk).
In addition, Undone is the first of its kind, pairing rotoscope animation with a unique visual style that is informed by actual oil-painted background. The series features stunning visuals from director Hisko Hulsing and the team who brought A Scanner Darkly. Over 100 animators were involved on two continents in three cities – Los Angeles, Austin and in our own animation studio in Amsterdam.
Submarine executive producer Tommy Pallotta (Last Hijack) collaborated with producers Noel Bright and Steven Cohen from The Tornante Company and Minnow Mountain and with the amazing showrunners Kate Purdy and Raphael Bob-Waksberg (BoJack Horseman). In addition to Salazar (Alita: Battle Angel) and Odenkirk (Breaking Bad) the series includes the voices of Angelique Cabral, Constance Marie, Siddarth Dhananjay and Daveed Diggs. Be sure to check out Undone first season on September 13, on Amazon Prime video.
This series was created with a contribution from the Netherlands Film Production Incentive.
