Submarine’s ‘Best Birthday Ever’ nominated for Best Children’s film at Cinekid
We are proud to share that our production ‘De Beste Verjaardag Ooit’ (Best Birthday Ever) has been selected for the Best Children’s Film Competition at Cinekid. Out of hundreds of films from all across the world that Cinekid receives, fifteen films are selected for the Best Children’s Film Competition. ‘De Beste Verjaardag Ooit’ is an animated feature based on the famous book series Karlchen (Little Charlie) by renowned German author Rotraut Susanne Berner. The story follows Little Charlie who is used to having his parents’ full attention. But that changes when his little sister Clara is born. The film will have its Dutch premiere on the 19th of October 2021.

De Beste Verjaardag Ooit is a coproduction between Alexandra Schatz Film Produktion, Submarine and Slugger film and is directed by Michael Ekblad.
