Femke Wolting discusses BELLINGCAT during Deadline’s for The Love of Docs Screening Series

Producer Femke Wolting sat down for a discussion at the Landmark Theater, during the “Deadline’s For The Love of Docs Screening Series”. Femke talked about Submarine’s documentary Bellingcat: Truth in a Post-Truth World, recently nominated for an International Emmy Award. 

Bellingcat sheds light on many discomfiting facts regarding life in a “post-truth” world and yet Femke felt inspired and encouraged, realizing there is something everyone can actually do to uncover the truth. Femke celebrates citizen investigative journalists speaking truth to power and offers a first-hand look at the information revolution, and the rise of a collective of “citizen investigative journalists” known as Bellingcat. How did producer Femke Wolting and director Hans Pool get the members of Bellingcat to collaborate for this film and bring Bellingcat to the screen?
